Premises of Closer Relationship with Children
Let your child trust you and establish a good parent-child bond. If the parent-child bond is bad, parenting will be ineffective. No matter how good the parents' starting point is, no matter how clever the methods they use are useless. Let's try to think: If a child doesn't trust his parents and doesn't feel that his parents love him, why should he change? In fact, for children, especially young children, the biggest driving force for them to change is the hope of getting the love of their parents.
3 Keys Open Child's Inner World
To understand children, Cossy's "key" is to understand their psychological needs. All people, including children, have three basic psychological needs: belonging, autonomy, and competence. Think of them as the "keys" that open their inner world.
Renowned psychologists Deci and Ryan argue that:
“If the three basic psychological needs are not met, children will show various behavioral problems.”
“If the three basic psychological needs are met, it will promote the transformation of children from extrinsic motivation to intrinsic motivation and feel well-being.”
In other words, if the corresponding psychological needs are met, the child's behavioral problems will improve.
For instance, a child who gives up on themselves often lacks a sense of competence. What to do at this time is to encourage him to take small step by steps; brothers and sisters are often fighting for the love of their parents, and they must focus on how to satisfy their sense of belonging.
Some specific situations need to be considered comprehensively, and these three psychological needs of children may be involved at the same time.
Here's an example:
It's time for bed, but the child is still focusing on the toys and refusing to go to sleep. The parents said, "Stop right away, otherwise I’ll confiscate the toys" It is conceivable that the child will be unhappy. In this case, the child may temporarily stop playing for fear of punishment. Under the threat of punishment, children are extrinsically motivated to obey even temporarily.
Try saying it this way:
"Baby, do you really want to continue playing?" (First, follow his focus, follow his thoughts at this time. At least parent deeply understands and accepts the child’s intentions at this time.)
"But it’s late today, you can play another five minutes." (It also sets limits. The child's feelings, emotions, and thoughts are all acceptable and do not imply approval of the child's behavior.)
After 5 minutes, you can squat down (Reflecting respect and equality), look the child in the eyes and say, "The toy also needs to go home to sleep at night. Let's wake it up tomorrow morning, okay?" This shows that you agree with there is nothing wrong with playing with toys, but the time is not right. But if tomorrow morning, you are happy to play with your child with toys.
This response method takes into account the three basic psychological needs of children. In this example, we can see that there is no contradiction between fully accepting children and keeping children disciplined. Conversely, acceptance of children promotes discipline. At this time, children's compliance with discipline is more internalized, which will promote them to gradually turn into self-discipline.
Giving children a good sense of belonging, is a very important and basic part of parenting. It will make children more daring to explore, make them feel more valuable, and be more willing to improve themselves. Without this part, education will be ineffective. Therefore, accepting children, enhancing parent-child bonding, and setting boundaries can help cultivate children to keep discipline, and then gradually cultivate children's self-discipline.
]]>Movie Date
You can add so many fun incorporations to an effortless movie family night. Toddlers enjoy a new environment, such as building a fort and enjoying a movie night. A fun idea is making the same food shown in the Disney-themed film. It gives you the next edition of the feeling that you are genuinely included in the movie. Include the stuffed animals that you miss your kids walking around stuck to their hips. Lay out pillows and blankets for the family and furry guests. Place one or two flashlights to brighten an area you may be eating under or playing a game. You can gather game boards for four-year-olds into this new fort built in your living room. Allow each child to pick a Disney-themed movie with treats and appetizers arranged for the movie. It leaves the excitement of who is next to determine the next destination film.
Grab the puzzles and magnetic tiles you have allowed to collect dust during the family's busy schedule. These items are forgotten and still bring out the most fulfilling quality of time. It is aweing to watch your young one’s focus and problem solve. You can watch so closely and still allow them to show off their skills to you. Family night does not always need all hands on deck, but they appreciate your presence alone.
Board Games
Game boards that I have found to entertain my current three-year-old are hungry-hungry hippos that can have up to four players. This game involves motor skills and healthy competition amongst siblings. Chutes and Ladders is another excellent option for a game board for your 4-year-old. It provides all the significant aspects you need for an ideal family night, from patience to cooperation and enjoying the intensity of who will win this match. Game boards for 4-year-olds are not hard to come by, especially when discussing what they are currently into the moment. However, any game board within reach can have the same impact you want for this family night.
Food is Fun
Have a bake-off with the baking utensils and items in your kitchen and fridge. Set up a station for each child based on their age of how independently they can partake in this contest. Bring out the sprinkles, flour, cookie cutters, icing, and spices. Your kids will remember such an event of the mess yet creativity to show off to the parents that they adore. It's something about allowing your kids to take the reins for activities that get them soaked into the moment. Baking is a teachable moment of many things, and still feels so exciting for kids. Each child can show off their artistic skills and learn a new passion for baking, decorating, and serving others.
Products from your Garage
There are so many products that you have overlooked in your next family night—reviewing products by including them in an activity or using them to judge the product by your standard. You can assess a camping tent for an overnight trip in your backyard. Gather the essentials you would take for an outdoor camping getaway. Kid sleeping bags, portable flashlights, family-sized tents, and a portable AC make this night enjoyable. The last thing you want is a family night with whining and sweaty bodies. Change the scenery for your next family night and take it further by setting up an overnight stay for free.
Hidden Gems
These experiences are monumental in encouraging deep relationships with each other. You are reviewing a product while giving your kids an experience to remember. The products for review can be items you have never gotten around to trying out for the family. It may have been stored away in the corner of the garage with things you claimed would be put to good use one day. You can buy all these products from your favorite company to review together as a family. The products for review will be unique to your family.
Moving to the Music
A dance party is an easy win for the entire family. Dancing has no age cap or instructions on what you can and cannot do. Shuffle various genres to see how your kids react with their dance moves. Dancing does something to your body that releases all the stress and weight of your troubles. It is free roaming to the beat that speaks to your soul. Watch your teenagers loosen up and fill up with joy from moving their bodies. Your toddler will light up with laughter and a sparkle in their eyes, jumping up and down. These dance moves tell a story you will pick up from your kids, from upbeat to slow movement patterns. You know that a night ending with dancing has never steered you wrong. A calmness overcomes your body without much thought put into it. End your family night with music and dancing for moments you will treasure forever.
It's in simplicity that your family will find true enjoyment from one another. These family nights are one to remember, from an intense dance party to building a tower of magnetic tiles. Your kids' ages will differ on what ideas will draw out their attention to enjoy a fun-filled family night for everyone.
]]>Visual Learning
Visual learning is when eyesight is used to gather and understand information. There are multiple ways to engage and support visual learners. For example, the use of a fun game such as pictionary or word to picture matching might be useful. Visual learners typically like to see things in front of them versus only hearing them. They also tend to be good at visualizing.
So, when helping a visual learner, be sure to give them something to look at. Make handouts and charts vivid and colorful, or use interesting fonts to gain attention of visual learners. The goal is to provide them an opportunity to gain information in the manner that best suits them, which means helping them effectively take in what they see.
Auditory Learning
When it comes to auditory learners, they process by hearing. Auditory learners typically can easily recall spoken information. They also tend to be strong at things like oral exams. A good way to support your auditory learner or provide them with good study motivation, is to create space for discussion in the classroom or at home on the new topics they are learning. Hearing about what your child is learning gives them an opportunity to rehearse what they are taking in, but also provides an opportunity for bonding and engagement. If you know what they are learning, and how they are learning, as parents or caretakers you begin to have insight into where they may or may not need additional support.
Another strategy might be finding a way for your auditory learner to tape or record classes to listen to later. Giving them the opportunity to have information repeated to them, or having them repeat the information themselves is another good method of learning. You may find that classical music may also be useful for auditory learners. Whatever the avenue, providing auditory learners the ability to use their ears is key.
Tactile Learning
Tactile learners use physical touch as a way of gathering information. Hands-on activities are going to be best for these types of students. When supporting your tactile learner, the use of arts and crafts and sensory activities will be important. Even using songs like head shoulders, knees, and toes will help your child gather the information they need to.
In addition to these things, encouraging tactile learners to underline, highlight, or take detailed notes will facilitate them in learning new things. The most important takeaway here, is to give your tactile learner something to put their hands to, it will make a world of difference.
Kinesthetic Learning
Last up on the list is kinesthetic learning. Kinesthetic learners need to utilize the entire body when learning. There is not just an emphasis on the hands, like with tactile learners, although there is some crossover. These types of learners thrive at things like drama, sports, and various trades. You may find that it may not always be easy for kinesthetic learners to sit still at a desk in an educational setting, but that’s okay. Teachers and parents with the right resources and plan can provide these children with a hospitable learning environment.
For example, providing kinesthetic learners with frequent breaks during class or even an action based lesson is another way to aid them in thriving. In order to make study or homework time engaging, take your child outdoors, let them use chalk to write out equations or draw pictures that will help them process. In the classroom, giving your students fly swatters to race and answer questions on the board is a way to get the entire body involved in the learning process.
To Parents
The four different learning styles apply to both children and adults. While helping your little one thrive as they learn, you too can attain tools that might be useful on a day to day basis. When retaining and utilizing information learned, one of the best things someone can do for themselves is figure out what their learning style is.
As a parent, taking time to gain additional information about the various learning styles as well as fun games and activities that can be used will be beneficial to the growth and development of your child. The educational foundation of your child begins at home, and there are a few practical ways you can support your child's learning style.
Taking time to listen to songs such as the ABC’s, or songs that teach rhyming, is an easy way to support your auditory learner. Giving your tactile learner a chance to use measuring cups while baking is a fun and rewarding method to help them better comprehend fractions or math problems. Quizzing your kinesthetic learner and allowing them to hop on answers written on the ground or a mat is a great way to ensure they are retaining information. For your visual learner, using poster boards to create decorative diagrams and resource material is an interactive way to encourage them as they learn.
Knowing how you or your child learns can be truly empowering. Not just in school, but also at home. There is no one way, or right way to learn, the four different learning styles are proof of that. Observe your child and see how you can best support them whether they are a tactile, auditory, kinesthetic, or visual learner. The main goal is to see your little one flourish.
]]>What are educational toys?
There is no one answer to this question as learning toys can come in many different forms. Some plaything are designed to help children learn basic academic skills such as math, reading, and writing. Others are created to encourage children to explore their creativity and imagination. And still, others are meant to teach children about the world around them, such as different cultures or environmental issues.
No matter what form they take, instructive toys can have a profound impact on a child's development. They can help children learn new skills and knowledge, and they can also help children develop important life skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. Additionally, playing with teaching toys can be a fun and enjoyable experience for children, which can help them develop a positive attitude towards learning.
Why educational toys influence children’s language development?
It is widely believed that children learn best through play. This is because play allows children to explore, experiment, and use their imagination which all help promote learning.
One way is by providing opportunities for children to practice their communication skills. For example, when children play with dolls, they can give them commands or have conversations with them. This helps children learn how to form sentences and improve their vocabulary.
Another way is by exposing children to new words and phrases. For example, when children play with building blocks they are exposed to words such as “up”, “down”, “on”, and “under”. As they play with the blocks and use these words they are also learning their meaning which helps expand their vocabulary. Exposing children to new words and phrases not only helps them learn the meanings of these words but it also helps them learn how to use them in sentences.
What toys can support children’s language cultivation?
l Lifestyle Toys
Toys are made to imitate objects in life. For instancedolls, houses, furniture, cooking utensils, various vehicles, etc. These toys can be used when children play role-play. In role-play, children mainly use language to express the plot and content of the game, thus promoting their language acquisition.
l Buildable Toys
Including large, medium, and small sets of letters composed of basic geometric shapes, a variety of basic, magnetic tiles, etc. Children can use these toys for a variety of construction activities. Such as putting together houses, furniture, vehicles, etc. In the construction activities, parents can consciously develop the child's language, you can let the child say the object to be constructed, tell the process and method of building. This can help improving the child's oral expression skills.
l Flash Card
They are sets of cards with daily necessities, transportation, vegetables, fruits, animals, plants, etc. These toys can be used for children to carry out matching, comparison, and other game activities. For example, in the matching game: Shuffle pictures of different categories, draw cards in sequence, let child draw pictures of the same type and put them aside. Then, speak out the names or basic characteristics of the objects in the pictures. This kind of game activity can not only help children recognize things but also help to develop children's ability to compare, classify and speak.
Conclusion
While there are many toys that can help improving a child’s language skills, it is also important for parents to accompany and guide them. Cossy hope that our Magnetic Building Tiles will assist in fostering children's language development and provide some new ideas to you to try at home with your child!
However, as children grow and develop, they start to feel other emotions like anger, love, excitement, and disappointment. As the parent, it becomes your duty to help them learn the best possible ways to express these emotions.
The truth is, raising sensitive children requires more than just providing for their basic needs. That’s right — having food, shelter, and even school degrees do not translate to becoming a generous and empathetic individual.
But the good news is that every interaction you have with your child can be a teachable moment, regardless of time and place. What matters is that you adopt a parenting style that instills positive values that will groom your child into a decent, kind and thoughtful human.
If we guessed right, your next big question is how?
Activities that can help you teach kindness and empathy
Yes, it is not enough to merely throw around the idea of positive emotional development for kids; we also need a roadmap on how to help our kids achieve effective emotional expression beyond smiles and tears. We realize that the process can be tasking, not to mention a tad confusing, so we have drawn up a few exercises for you to consider below:
Read books about feelings
Children are easily influenced by what they read and what is read to them.
To teach them about feelings and different emotions, you can buy story books, comics, picture books, and audiobooks that describe human feelings using terms that kids understand with no difficulty.
Reading such books will aid them in identifying and expressing similar feelings that the books have described. The Feelings Book by Todd Parr and Baby Faces by DK Publishing are great examples of children's books that assist kids in expressing their feelings positively.
Read books that discuss empathy
It’s a given that after learning about feelings, your child becomes more self-aware about their feelings and develops compassion for those of the people around them. This is where books about empathy come in. In such books, the storyline often mimics real-life situations involving children, and by reading, your child builds his ability to be empathetic toward others.

Talking about feelings
Being open about your feelings rubs off your child. It helps maintain a bond between parent and child and urges the child to speak freely. Avoid negative outbursts and cuss words. The goal is to help your child become familiar with positive emotional expression.
Be a good role model of kindness
Be mindful that your children are always looking up to you for guidance. They will very well like to copy what they see you do. So, we suggest you work on being a good role model of kindness and empathy.
Like when a new neighbor moves in next door. Going over to say ‘welcome’ with a box of homemade cookies can be a surefire way to indirectly teach your kids about being kind to others.
This task isn’t a walk in the park, considering that there will be many events testing your patience daily (like if the new neighbor turns out to be noisy and obnoxious). But, remember, the important thing is to make a conscious effort and correct yourself when there are slip-ups.
Have an attitude of gratitude
To raise grateful kids, you have to live a life of gratitude. You can start by speaking about the things you’re thankful for.
When purchasing toys for children, you can insist that your child say “thank you” as a sign of appreciation. Show your child how to appreciate gifts.
Play emotional stimulating games
You can find games and children’s toys that tap into their emotions and bring to life the words they read in the books. To make the task easier, toy companies have developed magnetic tiles sets that allow children to create different emotions using colorful magnetic facial pieces.
Go green
Don’t stop at people. Extend your arm of compassion to mother earth as well. Teach your kids about recycling and the conservation of energy. Help them practice the art of conscious consumption where used quality products are passed down rather than thrown away. By developing a love for our planet, your kids become better versions of themselves.
Give, share & laugh
As part of your parenting style, you can inform your kids about the importance of sharing and giving. Encourage your children to give out toys or games from their collection as a thoughtful gift to someone. You could also urge them to make treats for their friends and donate old clothes or toys as charity. Acts of generosity like these from a young age build their ability to become empathetic and kind adults. So, as a parent, you should work on letting the “giving spirit” form a part of your family culture.
You should also give to your kids. Take some time out of your schedule to select high-end toys for them to play with. Cop a set and make better progress on your parenting quest to teach your child the value of effective emotional expression.
Good values never go out of fashion. Whatever your realities are, make it a point to concentrate on helping your kids build their emotional awareness. Being kind, thoughtful, and respectful to others and the earth can be all the difference we need for the world to become everyone’s safe place.

This blog post will discuss some of the best ways to keep your little ones occupied during a long journey.
By following these tips, you can ensure that everyone has a good time and stays happy and calm!
Bring Along Toys
This one looks simple but you’d be surprised how often it gets overlooked.
Toys are designed to spark a child's imagination and encourage them to explore new ideas. While some toys promote creativity, others provide a broad open canvas for children to express themselves.
Traditional creative toys like crayons, clay, and play-doh have been around for decades, and modern versions of these classics continue to be popular with kids of all ages.
However, newer types of creative toys also gaining popularity. For example, magnetic tiles are an excellent option for kids who like to build and create.
Another option is construction toys like Lincoln Logs or K'Nex, which allow children to build just about anything they can imagine.
If you're looking for toy ideas, endless possibilities are available online and in stores. Just do a quick search, and you'll indeed find something your child will love.
Pack Plenty of Snacks and Drinks
When travelling with young children, they must be well-fed and hydrated. It will help prevent meltdowns and tantrums caused by hunger or thirst. By now, you already know that child tantrum is the worst. Nobody wants them.
Bring a variety of snacks and drinks, so your child can have something to eat or drink whenever they get hungry or thirsty. Healthy snacks like fruits and vegetables are always a good choice, but you can also pack some of your child's favourite junk food as a treat.
Just make sure to avoid sugary drinks, as they can cause hyperactivity. Instead, opt for water or milk.
Bring along Games, Puzzles and Books
Games, puzzles, and books are essential for long journeys. They provide a great way to keep kids entertained and occupied. There are many travel-friendly games available that are perfect for young children.
For example, the card game Go Fish is easy to play in a car or on an airplane. Memory games are another excellent option because they help improve cognitive skills.
Puzzles and colouring books are also excellent travel companions for kids. They can help pass the time and are also great for developing problem-solving skills.
If you're looking for something a little more high-tech, consider packing a portable DVD player or tablet loaded with movies and games. Just make sure to bring along some headphones so your child doesn't disturb other passengers.
Get Them Involved in Navigation and Map Reading
If your child is old enough, involve them in navigation and map reading. This can help pass the time and also teach them some valuable skills.
First, show your child how to read a map. Then, let them help you plot the route that you're taking. As you travel, point out landmarks and other points of interest. This will help your child better understand the map and make the journey more interesting.
Let your child enter the destination address if you're using a GPS system. Let them help map the route and plan the trip if you're travelling by car. This will give them a sense of responsibility and help them feel like they're a part of the journey.
Don't Forget the Camera
A camera is a great way to keep kids entertained on a long journey. Let them take pictures of the things they see out the window. They can also take pictures of their friends and family members. You can even turn it into a game by challenging your child to take photos of specific things you see along the way.
This is a great way to engage them with their natural surroundings and foster an appreciation for nature. As a bonus, you might even get cute snaps of your kids enjoying the journey! You deserve cute snaps, too, of course.
If you're travelling to a new place, get your child to take photos of landmarks and other points of interest. This activity will help them remember their sites and what they've seen. Plus, it's a great way to teach them about different cultures and history.
Avoid Long Day Driving Journeys
Long day driving journeys can be incredibly dull, not just for children but also for adults. If you're planning on embarking on a long trip by car, try to avoid doing it all in one day.
Instead, plan to break up the journey into more miniature stages. This way, you can stop along the way and explore different places. This will make the trip more interesting for everyone involved and help to prevent boredom.
It's also a good idea to plan some activities you can do during the drive. This way, everyone will have something to do to help pass the time.
Conclusion
As any sincere parent knows, extended journeys with children can be challenging. Keeping them entertained for hours on end is no easy feat. However, by following a few simple tips, it is possible to make the journey more enjoyable for everyone involved.
First and foremost, it is essential to have a plan. Make sure to pack plenty of snacks, drinks, and some activities to keep them occupied. It can also be helpful to bring a tablet loaded with their favourite movies and games.
If all else fails, remember that a bit of imagination goes a long way. Even the longest journey can become an adventure with a bit of creativity.
]]>The good news is that being resilient and having self-confidence is possible, even at an early age. As a child, if you get the emotional support you need and parents set a good example, you’re very likely to get through life’s challenges easier. But that means you’re carrying a lot of responsibility as a parent! How do you ensure you get it right?
The next time your child has a bad day, keep calm and use these helpful guidelines that can work for various ages.
The Importance of a Child-appropriate Perspective
A first step in preparing yourself to be a good mentor, is to remember the unique characteristics of children. For one thing, especially small kids can’t yet express exactly how they’re feeling. Don’t get irritable because they don’t tell you what’s wrong.
Understand that they don’t have the skills and it’s up to you as the adult to analyze the situation. Use cues, such as learning more about the art of body language to gauge which emotions your child wants you to meet. Are they scared or angry?
If you don’t feel confident analyzing a child’s behavior, make use of the mass of information available online. Research how exactly kids in your child’s age group perceive the world. Use that as a starting point, trying to put yourself in your child’s shoes. Combing that perspective with the tactics below to help your kid reflect and later focus on something else than the problem.
Kid Having a Bad Day? How to Relieve Stress Quickly and Efficiently?
Just Listen
They’re only kids, and they may not be able to tell you exactly what’s going on, but they deserve your attention. Assure them that as part of your intimate relationship as parent and child:
When you listen, ask questions to confirm you understand what he or she is saying. You need to ensure they feel understood. To instill trust and positive feelings again, they must know there’s a safe space for them to go to. Be that safe space, so they don’t go looking for it elsewhere.
Your Words to the Rescue
Since they’ve said all they wanted, use your voice to their benefit. This can be:
Your positive input can help them focus less on the negative emotions that seemed so overwhelming at the start of your conversation.
Don’t overwhelm them with advice, but suggest easy coping skills. For example, breathing exercises work for almost any age group.
Show Love with a Hug
Words of affirmation is a powerful way to show your care, but as listed in the 5 Love Languages, so is physical touch. This is clear when you consider how much better people—adults AND children—feel after sharing a hug. No wonder there’s a ‘Global Hug Your Kids Day’.
People may prefer different hugs meaning not everyone likes being held in exactly the same way or for the same length of time. Still, in general, hugs have a positive influence. Experts believe it’s because a hug can help lower the stress hormone, cortisol—also call the stress hormone. So, it’s clear this carries a lot of potential when wondering how to relieve stress quickly.
Get Out in Nature
After giving your child enough time for expression, it’s important to help them transition to a more positive state of mind. Physically moving to another environment—rather than staying cooped up in their room—is a dynamic tool to get this right. And where better than heading out into nature?
It can be as simple as sitting in the garden and enjoying the sunlight or watching the birds. Alternatively, head to a local park. Apart from getting fresh air, you’re sure to encounter some good natural distractions on the way, from a puddle to splash in, or someone’s cute dog to pet.
Be Active Together
It’s actually very important not to just sit around and focus on what caused this bad day. When children get active, they’re likely to focus on something else than the problem, but you have to take the lead. They may not initially feel like taking part in some active fun, but depending on their interest, set up the environment to get them moving:
A bonus is that exercise lowers adrenaline levels—yet another stress hormone.
Use Creativity and Games
Many other activities can also help kids unwind and focus on happier thoughts. And you don’t even have to leave the house. This is good news on rainy days when you can’t head outside for a walk:
Trust their natural affinity for games, color and creative activities to help them forget about their ordeal earlier that day.
Head to the Kitchen
Most kids also naturally like baking—especially with the adults they love—so provide the emotional support they need by spending time in the kitchen. Pick a recipe for their favorite food and allow them to get a bit dirty while helping. The more carefree you allow them to be, the better they’ll start feeling.
Last Tip: Be Honest About Your Own Bad Days
While you’re sitting down playing with CossyKids toys or eating the biscuits you baked together, share with your children about your own bad days. Prove to them it’s normal to feel this way, so they don’t lose confidence every time things go wrong. Teach them your own coping skills so they can implement it as they get older.
Give them the best chance of turning bad days into good ones for the rest of their lives!
]]>It’s raining!
What do you do with energetic kids when you can’t take them outside? It may be tricky, but you just need some creativity! And our tips will help save the day!
You may feel overwhelmed with how to deal with a hyperactive child at home. Perhaps you’re tempted to simply let them watch TV all day? But have you considered the importance or promoting healthy lifestyle choices? If you allow too much TV or social media now, your child will form unhealthy habits that will be difficult to break later on.
In addition, you’ll miss out on the multiple benefits of turning this into fun, memorable times with your kids:
So, rainy day activities for families could actually be a huge advantage. But we understand that practical challenges accompany these times. For one thing, how do you stop your child from getting bored? And can you really avoid social media addiction?
Here’s all you need to know.
Using any of the Cossy Kids toys will definitely help keep kids busy for a few hours. Whatever you decide to do, if you incorporate the following guidelines, you’re bound to see smiling faces all day:
Keeping kids entertained requires patience, so at some stage you may need a break. Can you use the TV as a backup babysitter?
Yes! But in moderation. Too much daily TV can affect your child’s development. For one thing, they learn better during interaction with you than seeing a cartoon perform a task on the screen. So, keeping them busy in a physical way is vital. Also, too much TV could lead to problems with sleeping patterns and their attention span during normal play. But for a rainy day, watching a movie together isn’t too bad. Now, what else can you do?
Playing at Housework
Your own to-do-list doesn’t disappear just because it’s raining, so combine work and play to benefit everyone. For example:
Craft Projects that Solve Problems
You may also have a list of things you need to fix around the house or source from somewhere. Is there anything on the list you can turn into a DIY craft game with the kids? The following items are simple to make and you’ll easily find the ‘How to’ guidelines online:
Challenge Everyone’s Skillsets
You can even challenge yourself while keeping the kids busy, by practicing a new skill or having a competition and see who wins. A rainy day can be time to tinker on the piano that no one has mastered yet. You’ll also find DIY sets—appropriate for kids—for anything from needlework to pottery. So, keep a few of them in the cupboard for bad weather days.
Alternatively, use the toys you already have, but add the exciting element of a competition. You can see who builds the highest tower with blocks or Cossy magnetic tiles. What about a drawing competition? You can share pictures of everyone’s masterpieces on a chat group with your extended family and let them vote for a winner.
Work Personal Matters
If you’re aware of specific difficulties your kids face, now is the time to face it head on. Does someone need some pampering—think foot massages all around—in order to completely relax and tell you about their fear of the school bully? Or perhaps you can boost their self-esteem by having an impromptu concert in the lounge. Show them they can speak or sing in front of others without feeling too self-conscious.
Use Technology Wisely

]]>Since Mother's Day is celebrated worldwide on the second Sunday in May, we will dedicate this article to all the caring mothers of the world. The American activist Anna Maria Jarvis (1864-1948) proposed the establishment of this special day in honor of the mother and chose the white carnation as a symbol. Because "its white color symbolizes the truth, purity and compassion of motherly love; its aroma, her memory and her prayers". Let's see, then, what role plays the social environment and especially the mother who is closest to her child in his development and evolution.
From the labor process onwards, an infant begins to experience what is happening around him. At each brain development stage, different stimuli and memories are recorded in an extremely complex way through the creation of attachment relationships with its parents or caregivers. Up to 3 years, his psychosocial and cerebral development is very fast and the foundations are laid for his maturity and future relationships. However, each child has his own pace of development without meaning that he deviates from the normal.
Creativity is a journey in which we cultivate the imagination and through divergent - creative thinking we develop ingenuity and improve our abilities to solve problems. If man did not use his creative thinking along with logic there would be no progress in many areas of human activity.
In early childhood he manifests himself with creative expression. If the mother wants to boost the toddler's creativity, she can for example give him a stack of bricks and ask him to find how many different shapes he can create with these bricks. As the child grows, the creative process is enhanced by:
So, if you want to enhance your child's creativity and divergent thinking, a good and original idea is to make your own fairy tale with him. You will need a notebook half blank and half lined, a pencil for the story and crayons for the drawings. Alternatively use the cossy magnetic tiles to build the castle of his dreams. In both creative processes you will spend quality time together, while at the same time, the child will have made his own story or castle, sharpening his imagination and creativity.
Natural curiosity is inherent in humans, especially in children who are ignorant of danger. When babies start exploring the environment, they grab various objects with their hands and put them in their mouths, then examine them and as time goes by and the crawl starts, they look for and dig out whatever they can get inside the house thus learning new things. It's the easiest way to sharpen their senses and enrich their knowledge. At these ages is the sole responsibility of the parent to shape the environment in which the baby moves (objects, toys, furniture), as the infant is not able to know what is beneficial and what can harm him.
In the later brain development stages and at older ages, nature exploration plays an important role. Parents can plan when they have free time to go with their children for walks in the countryside, do activities and play interactive games during which the focus is on observing, exploring and learning about the natural world around them. Also, parents have to lead by example and engage in outdoor sports, such as walking, running, cycling, swimming or sailing. Do not wait your child to become an athlete if you are all day sitting in front of a computer or on the couch watching TV.
Without a doubt, play is the most enjoyable way for a child to learn about himself, the world around him, how to behave towards others. That is why it is very important for the parent to be informed and to choose toys that are suitable and safe for the age of the child and to let the child choose what he likes best.
At the same time, however, the parent should set limits on the number and types of toys that the child wants to buy. A good method is for the parent to give the new toys at reasonable intervals and to communicate with relatives and friends so that the child is not loaded with a variety of toys that he does not need and will get bored quickly. Cossy magnetic tiles are a great idea for this purpose. They have so many possibilities that make it easy for children to find out new ways to play and accelerate their creativity without being bored. Parents must also keep in mind that new toys do not make up for their absence, nor are they bought to cover their guilt or to redeem the child's love.
Through play, parents can develop with their children a free and appropriate communication, coordinated with the needs that the children themselves communicate (contingent communication). In childhood, it is important for parents to spend enough quality time with their children playing and talking. At older ages it is good to leave them more independent.
It is also proven that creativity awakens when you start to get bored! So let them get bored, do not offer them technology as a solution. Even in places that would be an easy alternative for everyone, such as in the car, in restaurants or in a mall. Take advantage of this time for socialization. Think of it as a creative process to train their brain to function when they feel bored.
In conclusion, in order for each parent and especially the mother to be able to give her child the best start in life and to develop as a complete personality, they will have to work hard. They can look for effective strategies to constantly get better and of course not give up when difficult times begin. The parenting role is a constant challenge, but through difficulties and mistakes one learns how to improve.

]]>Parenting in pandemic may not as scary as it sounds like. You can do a lot to prevent your kids from the fear of social distancing by interacting with them with patience and changing this special journey into an opportunity for family resilience.
Read below eight useful and practical advice for parents with kids under the age of three that will save you during the difficult times of restrictive measures.
No matter where you lived right now with your beloved ones. Clean up some space to get started!
You can always discover new places for specific activities with your imagination.
Everyday routine reduces stress to all family members.
The more quality time you spend with your children, the more positive benefits both parties gain. Even a short, concentrated activity (about ten minutes) reduces stress and calms you down. Use your ingenuity and let the game absorb you. You will definitely lose track of time and take your fun to the next level.
Visual communication (even digital) is more efficient and results in a closer "connection". Sit together on the floor and maintain eye contact and close proximity to the child to play. Children are imitators and copy what they see and hear. See how they react to the expressions you make to them and watch how they start to do what you did in your game, during the day. With this approach you mirror your emotional state to each other. According to studies, this unique brain synchronization releases oxytocin in the adult brain, which creates calm in the body. And for the child it has long-term developmental benefits.
Choose a toy from Cossy's huge collection (suitable for your little one's age), something that reminds you of when you were a kid; and play with it. Let yourself be free to live the whole experience of fun, laughter and carefreeness of your childhood. It is certain that you will all enjoy it and you will escape, even for a while, from the anxieties of adults! And, of course, it's a strong boost to your immune system, a shield against the coronavirus.
Role-playing games with your child activate the brain cells of both. In other words, imagination increases neural activity because your mind is mapping unchartered territory. So, choose a game that is suitable for this purpose and let yourself be free to relive the joy of the game without instructions. Imitate different voices and speak with your body language. The process of the game activates oxytocin, the "love hormone", which is released when people come close, physically and socially. And that ultimately means less stress for everyone and spiritual and emotional development for the little ones.
Our quality and creative toys have the ability to enhance your commitment to the child and your fun, creating a triangular relationship: Adult-Child-Toy. This relationship will really bring you closer to each other and will remind you of the good moments of your own childhood. It is an early form of "dialogue" that aims to strengthen and build your interpersonal bond. In other words, you are both committed to the action with the game.
Each type of toy contributes in its own way to the overall mental, spiritual and physical progress of your child. In the Cossy toy collection there are creative toys and constructions, which expand the imagination and sharpen the mind of young children. It's generally not wrong for your child to prefer one type of toy. But it is better to play in many different ways. By actively participating in the game, creativity will also help your mind to stay alert.
Even if young children do not understand a word of the TV news, they can feel and copy the emotional stress you feel when you hear bad news. So avoid leaving the TV on and prefer listening to soft music. Also, choose quality toys that will bring you closer and at the same time will help in the emotional and mental development of your children.
During playing, sit close to your child, face to face and laugh with your soul! This creates a pleasant environment and a healthy bond between you, a beneficial situation for both, children and yourself. Joy is the path to happiness.
]]>But that isn’t the only benefit of providing the best toys to children with autism. Toys can be a bridge that allows children to connect with those around them. In addition, many toys are made specifically to offer the chance to practice motor skills that can provide more insight into the world around the child.
April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. One of the things that many autistic kids struggle with is traditional sensory processing. This varies by child, of course, but many have issues processing smells, textures, sights, sounds, or other items that bring a high level of stimulation to the senses. As you choose toys that are the best for children with autism, there are a few things to be aware of. First, you should offer your child a selection of activities, including toys. Choosing toys your child likes is essential. However, it’s just as vital to ensure the toy is engaging to the child and helps them work on specific skills.
For some autistic children, development can be delayed, which is something else to consider when selecting toys. Depending on the child, toys made for a lower age group may be more appropriate. Take all of these things into consideration when selecting toys that will be enjoyable for little ones.
Sensory toys, as mentioned, are a great choice. For instance, toys that enhance a child’s sense of their body are good. This includes things like bean bags, modeling clay, or jump ropes. To help your child strengthen awareness of their head’s position, you might choose toys that swing, spin, rock, or otherwise create motion.Tactile stimulation also works well and involves choosing toys with varying textures. Items like water toys, sand toys, bubbles, finger paints, and dress-up clothes are good choices. All of these toys are ideal for learning through play.Other toys to consider include those that help with language development, especially for a nonverbal child. Of course, any toy that helps with gross and fine motor skills is also a great bet.
Sorting toys, musical instruments, and other toys can be very soothing for a child with autism. There are also toys that help a child fidget and “stim” to feel more comfortable. Any variety of these things combined with games to increase social skills makes up a perfect playroom.

]]>Magnetic tile sets are one of the most popular kids' toys at Cossykids. These toys have immense benefits for children, helping to shape their minds. But, they also have to be healthy. Here, we explore what healthy magnetic tiles are and how beneficial they are for kids.
Magnetic tiles are open-ended construction toys that help to build children’s creativity. They come in many-piece sets. The pieces are made of high-grade acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plastic and come in different shapes. The pieces snap together magnetically, allowing kids to form different connections.
The magnetic tiles have magnets on all sides and can be connected anyway. This type of open-ended play allows kids to develop their creative thinking and make sense of the world around them. Children can use the Magnetic Tiles to construct something out of their imagination, duplicate an image, or copy an object already created. The colors, translucency, and magnets allow children to build and create in ways they couldn't with ordinary building blocks. In addition, magnetic tiles allow kids to build in 2D or 3D geometry, further boosting their fascination and enthusiasm as they play and have fun.
Magnetic tile pieces come in sizes suitable for kids' hands and are typically recommended for children three years and above.
From infancy, kids learn to pick up things and put them in their mouths for various reasons. This is one downside to their cat-like curiosity. One of kids’ favorite things to put in their mouths is their toys. Because toys constantly go into their mouths inadvertently, it is best to ensure they are safe enough and do not cause any harm to kids.
Magnetic tiles are composed of two categories of materials that may cause acute harm if ingested by kids - plastics and magnets. In light of these, magnetic tile toys are subject to strict quality assurance purposes to ensure they are safe for kids. Non-toxic magnetic blocks have passed CPSIA quality checks. They are made using food-grade acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) plastic, free of bisphenol A (BPA), phthalates, latex and other toxic materials. The magnets are tightly welded to ensure they stay inside the plastics and are inaccessible to kids.
These manufacturing precautions ensure that Cossykids magnetic tiles are 100% safe for kids to use. However, ensure that kids are always observed when playing with their magnetic tiles.
Magnetic tiles are one of the most beneficial toys for kids' development. They are often regarded as the ultimate educational toys. These toys offer children the opportunity to use and develop several skills, including;
Children can use magnetic tiles to learn about Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). These toys help youngsters be curious, ask questions, think creatively, collaborate, and solve problems in early infancy. For example, they can construct a simple structure and then add extra tiles to make it taller. They use scientific and engineering principles to find the right way to construct a stable, non-collapsing building. This approach develops not only resilience but also problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Hand-eye coordination is the ability to utilize both hands and eyes simultaneously, and it is a difficult skill for young children to master. Children develop efficient hand-eye coordination by building with magnetic tiles. When a child picks up a tile and connects it to another tile, they develop an awareness of the relationship between their eyes and hands.
In addition, kids learn the art of staying concentrated when they play with magnetic tiles. A lack of concentration will cause kids to build structures that are unstable or undesirable. Kids learn through magnetic tiles to stay focused on the task at hand to yield the best results.
Children may utilize their imaginations and creativity with magnetic tiles. Children can learn about themselves and the world around them through imaginative and creative play. For example, they can show their interests by making something they admire, such as an airplane or a house. With magnetic tiles, the possibilities for inventive play are limitless.
Magnetic tiles are perfect for educating kids at a basic level. These tiles may be constructed in different geometric shapes, numbers or letters, and then children may be asked to identify them. Adults can use various constructed figures to teach children spatial reasoning. For example, they can identify what is in front of the other, beside, behind, adjacent etc.
Magnetic tiles are beneficial in helping kids develop gross and fine motor skills. Gross motor skills involve the movement of large muscles in the body. Building and crashing activities engage kids’ larger muscles and develop their gross motor skills. ]]>For children and adults, they are a guarantee of moments of fun and intellectual development, provided you choose well. Considering the huge variety of games on the market, it is often difficult to choose. To help you, our buying guide tells you all the essential features to check.
Also called games of skill, these are several prefabricated pieces that will have to be assembled together to form a shape or a character. These elements can be designed in fabric, wood, plastic, brick, or even metal. Once the assembly is complete, it will be enough to take it apart to get another toy.
Why Parents Choose Magnetic tiles?
Discover the building blocks offered at the best quality.
Thanks to its 120 pieces, this set is ideal for creating many shapes of all kinds. This is a construction set using magnetic tiles that tighten and stabilize the assembly. As a result, it will be possible to play without the risk of the toy falling apart.
Kids can assemble elements such as houses, cars, bridges etc. Magnetic tiles can be also used to play in different manners such as dominoes, make a maze, match and spelling, repeat the sequence, numbers and letters, sensory play, puzzle match, colored lights, mix colours, add small toys cars, decorate any metal surface you can find, make a marble run down the fridge, sorting etc among other activities.
In addition to modulating original shapes, the youngest can practice recognizing numbers and letters, building various structure and shapes. Safety is there since even if they bite into rooms, there are no harmful substances. In addition, the various components can be washed without a problem.
Unlike other building blocks, here the pieces are in the shape of a stick. More complex to use, it will be necessary to be patient to arrive at the desired shape. Fortunately, the possibilities are endless. This set comes with its own basket for easy movement and transport.
Nesting or stacking pieces on top of each other promote motor development in young children. It is a good exercise to learn to make decisions, choosing shapes and locations.
Once the motor skills are acquired, you can subject them to more complex constructions. For example, they can start building houses, cars, or even an entire village. As they will be confronted with various shapes and circuits of all kinds, they will have to learn to use each part. In addition to acting on the physical level, games of skill also improve intellectual capacities. The imagination will be stimulated as children will want to create short stories related to constructions and characters.
In addition to the educational aspect, the clip-on building blocks help pass the time. Playing it alone will help develop concentration and attention. Together, it is a good way to promote dialogue, empathy and exchanges. It is also a way of developing team spirit, as much for adults as for children.
For more sensations and possibilities, it is preferable to vary the materials of manufacture of the parts. Currently, there are a lot of them on the market. The most classic is plastic building blocks. They are light, resistant, and easy to clean. Wood is also part of it, but it is less appreciated. Despite its resistance to any test, there are not enough possibilities in terms of designs.
Which does not leave much choice in terms of constructions to be done. Be careful, at the slightest sudden movement, the wooden parts can hurt a lot. Less known, but just as practical, there are fabric ones. For babies and toddlers, this is the material to turn to. The parts are large enough, light, and present no risk of being swallowed. To awaken the senses, choose fabrics with different textures.
Magnetic construction sets are the latest to hit the market. The possibilities for creation are endless. Usually, the pieces are geometric with magnets on all sides. It will suffice to place them next to each other to stick together. It will not be necessary to tighten the parts since they hold thanks to the magnetic power. However, you have to be old enough to do this since the parts are difficult to handle.
Depending on the age of your toddlers, the needs will not be the same. During the first years of life, from 1 to 3 years, they are still in the phase of discovery and exploration of the world around them.
This is when they become sensitive to smells and develop touch and sight. During this period, the most important thing will be to develop their motor skills. Choose pieces that are large enough, with different shapes. Children will need to be able to hold them in their hands, without being likely to swallow them, because at that age, they tend to put everything in their mouths.
From the age of 6, you will have more choices regarding the models to choose from. If they're responsible enough, you can give them smaller rooms. Building blocks for teens and adults are also available to satisfy older children.
To attract the attention of your children, their game must be at least attractive. The choice of design is therefore just as important as the choice of material. As pointed out above, before the age of 3, it will be necessary to develop sight and touch.
So, opt for brightly colored pieces that are fairly easy to handle. To give examples, there are fabric cubes or musical games. For children under 2, there are brick building blocks and cubes to assemble. From 3 to 5 years old, it is quite possible to choose more complex games. But not too much, since they won't be paying attention for very long. There, the color is no longer as important, so ask your child what he would like.
Teens will tend to choose building blocks related to their favorite cartoon and their favorite hero. This is good since many brands offer this type of assembly. Some sets are even sold with small figures in addition.
To let your imagination run wild, there is nothing better than this guy. In a way, you will have free rein to create the shapes you want. Creative sets are only made up of different pieces. It will be your responsibility to combine them as you wish. Of course, some manufacturers are adding indications to help children as best they can.
To give an example, there may be wooden boards. In this case, the latter serves as a guide or boss to build pyramids, houses, etc.
Assembly games are much easier to use. As the name suggests, there are several predefined pieces that will need to be put together to create a shape, like a puzzle.
Usually, a leaflet and guide are in the box to guide you through the various steps. Of course, it is still possible to make some changes and adjust according to your needs. Also, I prefer construction sets with models which can transform into several objects.
Reserved for older children, circuit-type building blocks are quite complex. It will be the responsibility of the players to create the platform. Normally, the latter will be used to compete in marbles, cars, and even dominoes. The circuits to be created are more difficult and it will take patience since the players will be able to create different combinations to find the one that best meets their expectations.
Building blocks have been a staple and have been for millennia. For your children and even for you, you have to choose a suitable game. Do not hesitate to vary the pleasures with different structures and different materials. In this comparison buying guide, you only have the best models, tested and approved by experts.
The recommended minimum age is always indicated in the characteristics of the games. Before 3 years old, be sure that the parts cannot be swallowed by your children.
The pieces should be larger than their hand until they are masters of their movement. Either way, it's always best to keep an eye on them when they're playing.
It is advisable to get children used to it from an early age. When they are still young, learning to hold coins will be easier. They will have a stronger background to face the daily world and better appreciate the world around them. So even at the age of 12 months, you can start to introduce building blocks to your child.
Some brands stand out from others, as much by their reputation as by the quality of the products they offer. Their products are safe bets, especially if you've never purchased a construction toy before. The products are guaranteed and comply with international standards for the safety of all. Pick a good brand that fits your budget as well as your needs.
To name a few, there are the unmissable Logicsys, Magna-tiles, and Playmobil with their architecture construction set. These two brands are true pioneers on the market, in addition to offering a wide variety of models, on all themes and for all ages. Obviously, there are other brands that stand out like Meccano and Kapla.
Even if the principle is to develop the imagination and control of your toddlers, your help is not excluded. Don't hesitate to guide them, especially at the start of a game. In some cases, it is better for you to be the first to play so your child can follow your example. You should always stay next to your child if they are under 8 years old. If he can understand, explain to him the risks if any when handling parts. Do not forget to offer games that adapt to his age. If you skip the steps, you might make the game boring.
In this case, always pay attention to the age indicated on the boxes.
To guarantee their lifespan over time, attention must be paid to maintenance. You should regularly check the condition of each part so as not to risk injury to your child. You will have to look at it one by one, from time to time, as this is the only way to do it.
Remember to clean the parts regularly. If they are fabric or plastic toys, the dirt gets stuck easily. Since children can put anything in their mouths, they can get sick if there are bacteria. Do not hesitate to wash with soap or to pass a wipe of a damp cloth to guarantee the hygienic aspect of the games.
For storage, remember to do it in a grouped place. Since the parts are easy to lose, it is best to have everything in a specific place. Preferably choose a set already delivered with its own storage and transport box at the time of.

]]>We went to the toy library on Saturday morning and we have (again) brought a nice find! The toy library had received Cossykids (which later I found existing on amazon as well) magnetic tiles novelty and, starting to know us (we are fans of construction), the toy library told us: "I have something that should please you!". Suffice to say that my daughter literally jumped on it and chained constructions on constructions :).
Cossykids provide a magnetic building game that is both educational, creative and fun for young and old alike.
The range consists of basic geometric shapes (squares, triangles, rectangles, hexagons.) with bright colors and modern design.
The main innovation of the Cossy Magnetic Tiles lies in the totally encapsulated magnets that turn on themselves for an instant connection between the forms regardless of the meaning.
Children can transform a 2D plane into a 3D figure with a simple gesture thanks to the demonstration booklet included in the boxes or simply invent their own constructions!
Geometric shapes attract in all directions, without ever being rejected, allowing the imagination to create infinite 3D structures.
Cossy Magnetic Tiles allows to discover the first notions of geometry and promises to its small users hours of concentration and fascination while having fun.
Cossy Magnetic Tiles love each other and it is possible to turn them in all directions to create new assemblies. The box offers several basic models, ranging from the simplest to the most complicated. This allows to give ideas of departure before detaching and give free rein to the imagination. The bright colors are unisex: perfect for a game not gendered :).
We can build all kinds of things: animals, buildings, vehicles, inventions… and Capital letters are also options to build
Games in basic geometric shapes (squares, triangles, rectangles, hexagons…) allow an introduction to geometry. For example, we wanted to build a sphere with pentagons and we had to think before we could assemble them: is it possible? How? Is it really a sphere in the end? Same with hexes.
It is important to inform the parents that the magnetic tiles are recommended from the age of 3 years.

]]>Last October, My son Joana and I went to uncle's home. Of course, we spent time playing with other kids (where we had a tournament), gaming stations around homes and the backyard. If I did not notice anything new in these essential brands for my son, we had the opportunity to make a very stunning discovery at their home that they bought from Amazon: the Cossykids building. Continuing to search, I realized that the brand a website as well, which is cossykids.com, where I then bought a set for my son. Now we don't need to play Magnetic tiles only when we visit my brother, Joana's uncle. However, I realized that the game is also fantastic for Joana to socialize with other kids in the neighborhood. They compete, and they call me to take pictures of their accomplishments.
The Cossykids Magnetic Tiles box contains varied and colorful geometric shapes with a magnet system. The child thus manages to mount or imagine constructions more or less elaborate. The complexity depends on the number of pieces (and the recommended age).
Designed for children from 3 to 12 years old, the Cossykids is a big hit with Joana! We received the Lunar Rover box, which allows him to use geometric shapes and wheels to build different vehicles. He goes up and down the various models proposed to each new game. By Christmas, he had to master these models perfectly. An excellent opportunity to complete this box with 1 or 2 others. Indeed, like any self-respecting construction game, all Cossykids boxes can be combined! And When Joana gets a new challenge to fulfill, and he does not have enough tiles, I just purchase a new box to complete what we have now.
If you are interested in this intelligent toy, or try to look for some fantastic tools to inspire children, Cossykids magnetic tiles are not supposed to be missed.

]]>For this stereotype and historical reasons, the gender barrier was shaped in STEM education as well as the STEM workplace for centuries. In recent years, policies were launched by the governments and campaigns were promoted by private organizations worldwide in support of women in STEM role models.
Apart from parity and diversity in the workforce, educators and professionals from all areas have realized that empathy, as one of the 21st-century skills, has become vital in STEM education, helping solve social and economic issues. Empathy has a significant role to play on the road of eliminating Quality Education Inequality, one of the UN's Initiatives, and early childhood education is fundamental to continuous development in Africa and other emerging economies.
There is no doubt that technology is the foundation of building digital economies, which is the hope for those regions to put themselves on the ICT leadership map.
Empathy refers to the ability to understand and sense the feelings and emotions of another, mainly including three components: cognitive empathy, emotional empathy, and compassionate empathy.
Developing the three types of empathy helps today’s thinkers and doers consider including humanities in STEM areas.
STEM professionals are often labeled as logical, critical, straightforward, or nerd, but not emotional. Many wonder why empathy matters in STEM education.
Based on the Framework of the Next Generation Science Standards, the ultimate goal of technology aligns with the global mutual goals for every one of us. Lacking empathy, it’s insufficient for STEM workers to address the social issues with practical human-centered solutions that would profoundly influence the generation one after another. Every decision that the STEM men and women would make has a significant impact on our society. Empathy stimulates the STEM team to upgrade devices and seek better solutions to solving global problems.
Taking into account empathy in the STEM classroom helps kids develop awareness and deepen their understanding of the importance of humanity. The awareness of humanity boosts communication and collaboration abilities which are strongly associated with cognition and empathy. In addition, it needs empathy to call out gender inequality and discrimination in our current STEM workforce. And that’s why STEM Education has been gradually built into STEAM around the globe. Here, the “A” stands for Arts.
Actually, the “A” in it has a lot to do with empathy besides the “Arts”. It reflects the approaches of the creators and how they would affect human and society in reality. The way the creators present has a direct reflection from themselves-how they see the world, what they feel about another, and what they would do to improve a better living environment.
Empathy education helps capture today’s young talents who would be eventually become tomorrow’s thinkers and doers contributing to the future’s technology advancement.
Global collaboration has become essential to tackle global social issues in a way more digitalized era. On the road of Education Equality, no kids should be left behind, poor or rich, from developing or developed nations. Cultivating kids’ empathy is shaping their values with a global mindset. It will drive them with stronger compassion and beliefs to take actions to address problems for not only individual countries but also the globe.
On the other hand, inadequate infrastructure and limited learning resources at school impede the development of kids’ early STEM education.
Although improvements seen in recent years, it’s still challenging to overcome this global issue overnight. STEM-related toys address the critical two points-equal learning access and quality learning resources, getting kids engaged with technology awareness and desire. Therefore, home-based learning is the key to complementing school education, providing equal quality learning opportunities for every kid.
A few things you can do every day at home:
Overall, empathy impacts more than just our children themselves, but the whole society. Along with the development of technology and equal quality STEM education, our kids will become tomorrow’s leaders in the STEM areas.

]]>According to the latest United Nations statistics, the largest youth population aged under 18 is in Africa, where the difference is less obvious on gender, making it the "greenfield" with high potential to show the needs and values of women in STEM and eliminate the gender gap. Moreover, people from all walks of life have recognized that the whole economy needs women to bring their perspectives to forge an inclusive world.
More specifically, it's significantly essential to encourage more women worldwide to be part of the technology industry as diverse female role models can effectively impact the younger generation.
That is to say, encouraging more African women to choose a STEM degree and career is not only beneficial to Africa but to the entire business environment. They can be the new STEM female role models of diversity, raising awareness of the importance of Quality Education, one of the mutual 17 United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
Middle Childhood girls begin to have a deeper understanding of the importance of empathy. And that's the mission and values of putting African young girls and women under the spotlights in gender gap elimination.
Nothing can stop the massive deployment of 5G worldwide in the need of technology development and acceleration.
Taking the lead in ICT and 5G development and applications, China has started producing 1,000 RMB 5G Smartphone to meet the demand of the global market at full blast. Thanks to the vast investments in ICT, accompanied by Big Data, AI, 5G, and IoT, various industries and services are booming up with a new horizon in China, from E-commerce to Robotics, Health Cares to Autonomous Cars, covering all areas in all aspects of life.
Although 4G is still needed to carry out much of the data, 5G should be the primary focus as a universal technology, according to the speech given by Dr. Mohamed Madkour, Huawei's VP for Global Wireless Networks Marketing and Solutions at the Wireless Foundation Summit Shanghai 2021.
To maximize 5G's potentials and values, we need more young professionals with a STEM background, including men and women, to leverage the 5G ecosystem all over the world.
The International Day of Women and Girls in Science organized its 6th Assembly in the United Nations Headquarters virtually. The Panel Girls in Science aims to inspire young girls with leadership role models in Science to stand up for equality, and Equality in Science for Society highlighted the purpose of technology by emphasizing the importance of sciences and humanities.
Since 2009, the United States has launched several policies to support STEM education nationwide, according to the U.S. Department of Education. In China, in addition to the massive support from the central government, "tiger moms" are spending big on STEM learning, including sending kids to get early STEM-trained or creating a dynamic STEM learning (playing) environment with various STEM-related toys at home.
It's indeed an exciting moment that the world has sensed the great significance of the initiatives:
From organizations to individuals, it's imperative for all of us to take concrete and effective actions to influence our young girls from a global mindset. The purpose behind it is to inspire them to believe, help them build confidence to pursue what they believe, break the old beliefs, broaden their visions, and shape their values.
Driven by a stronger desire, their confidence would motivate them to tackle all the challenges throughout a life-long STEM education and career journey. That's the reason parents and everyone around them should seize the last chance to support them ignite a STEM passion at the Middle Childhood stage.
As a result, Gender Equality and Quality Education are no longer for an individual country to achieve only, but for the whole society. They matter to every continent, every nation, and every one of us, driving us to unite together to improve gender parity in the global STEM workforce.

Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, spoke to several inspirational female business leaders about what more need to be achieved to improve gender equality in the workforce on International Women's Day. It's exciting that the world has taken concrete actions to bring gender balance to the STEM workforce.
To close the gender gap, the key is to encourage more young girls to choose a STEM degree and career after graduation, as mentioned in our earlier articles. To put it another way, nurturing our young girls' interests in STEM curriculum in early childhood is the primary step to this approach.
To forge an inclusive world, parents, schools, communities, female role models, and individuals should work together to provide a better STEM learning environment for our young girls.
Pre-school is a curriculum-based early childhood education program aiming to support kids to develop their fundamental skills and cognitive abilities. It has made a significant impact on cultivating kids' interests in multiple areas through curriculum-guided plays. Kids start to gain some reading skills, pre-math skills, and basic physics skills. In pre-school, our kids have a stronger desire to learn and explore, driven by their natural curiosities.
Our pre-school boys and girls start to understand they and their family are part of the school community. The school community reflects its culture and value and helps strengthen relationships between students and teachers. The school community has a great impact on students' behaviors and attitudes towards learning.
Getting to engage with STEM girls and women role models represents schools' initiatives in STEM education.
Parent plays a significant role to educate their young boys and girls. Pre-school boys and girls are still young to think independently. What parents say and do will impact their thinking, values, visions, and behaviors no matter good or bad. In other words, if you want to motivate your girls, the best way is to be a role model.
For example, it works well to work with your girls as a team to build a house or a garden with her scalable magnetic building tiles rather than only tell them to do so. Pre-schoolers are not fully ready to be apart from parents or act independently. It is indeed the golden age to be motivated and inspired to pursue their dreams with confidence.
Research shows that female role models effectively inspire young girls and women to believe and aim higher. More specifically, it can be compelling to encourage our girls to be brave to be themselves by telling some stories about some female role models in various areas.
Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, who is seen as a role model not only in politics, shows no fear of taking the challenge to achieve what she believes in. Even though Jacinda Ardern is not a woman role model in STEM areas, that's a convincing model to empower young girls to always keep all the way up and overcome barriers to seize new opportunities within different industries. And that's also one of the most inspiring ways to keep our young girls curious about new things, which reflect a lot in STEM learning.
In a nutshell, female role models reinforce the initiative to close the gender gap in the STEM workforce. Global collaboration upon Campaign #ChooseToChallenge aims to empower more young girls to be ambitious to take the challenge to pursue a STEM career. For this reason, parents should seize the opportunities to encourage your girls to challenge at the golden Pre-school stage.

It is undeniable that girls and women are not that interested in STEM fields compared with boys and men for historical reasons and gender stereotypes, as we mentioned in our previous articles. Fortunately, the whole world has noticed that we urgently need more girls and women to join the STEM workforce to work closely with STEM male members in the team, to bring them new concepts and ideas from a female angle.
More importantly, it has become essential to have more young girls in STEM and young STEM women role models to inspire and empower the next generation to carry on this initiative. After understanding the "WHY" to close the gender gap in STEM education and career development, we are going to talk about the "HOW" in this article.
In our earlier articles, we mapped the core STEM skills for Toddlers to Middle Childhood to achieve the goals through home education and STEM toys. Let's review the initial goals of our Toddler girls and boys:
Some might doubt that it's right to encourage our girls to choose STEM curricula when they show no interest or have no talents as in other classes or areas. This gender gap was not formed by girls' deficiencies in STEM talents but by the unconscious biases that negatively affect girls' and women's subconscious mind and impede their abilities and desire to engage in or tackle STEM careers.
Although we cannot force girls who have no interest in STEM areas, it's our responsibilities to at least encourage them to gain the fundamental for future education and daily adult life in a completely different digital era. Everything is about digital in the near future. It's a new world that even our parents or every one of us needs to learn and grow every day together to adapt to. More importantly, the new world needs each of us to continue to explore and give points of view from a different perspective, especially girls and women in STEM areas.
Of course, it's very important to present a positive image of "gender equality" in front of our girls and boys; nevertheless, the gender barriers have been there for centuries which has been so difficult for us to overcome.
To put this in perspective, it's necessary to influence their unconsciousness and broaden their vision with some STEM girls and women role models in addition to the general education and encouragement given to both boys and girls.
With this purpose in mind, it is the key to remove gender biases from our subconscious mind. In order to achieve that, our parents or everyone around them should:
1) Really remove this type of stereotype beliefs.
2) Encourage our girls to work with the boys.
3) Be open-minded and willing to communicate with them in the way they would like you to approach them.
4) Allow our girls to ask questions and let them be curious about things around them, especially what makes them really interested.
5) Never let them feel that their questions don't make sense.
It's challenging to really do it all in real-life scenarios, but that's one of the most efficient ways to develop our girls' Lateral Thinking, also known as Horizontal Thinking, involving approaching a problem that isn't immediately apparent in a different perspective.
Apart from that, there are a few additional tips (imaginative plays examples) for parents to really help to nurture their interest and enhance their thinking process with Toddlers' "the best living companions" – the STEM or related toys:
Even though we cannot eliminate the gender inequalities in STEM workplaces overnight, our mutual 17 United Nations SDGs have motivated many of us to join the force to take concrete actions to close this gender gap.

Currently, the situation is different thanks to the development and breadth of technology in the 21st century, making the resources more accessible to women while penetrating in all aspects of life. You might have noticed that the whole world has started to change and put a lot of efforts to encourage young women to work in the STEM industries. STEM women role models and female entrepreneurs worldwide have made a significant impact on empowering young women to gain the confidence to join the workforce working together with the STEM men.
What are the reasons behind this?
In our previous article, we mentioned one of the 17 United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) – Gender Equality, and explained the reasons behind it.
Today, we are going to continue the topic – women and girls in STEM.
Men have dominated the workforce in STEM fields for centuries, perpetuated by historical reasons and gender stereotypes.
Lacking the female role models, it's challenging to break this barrier. Even though we have made some progress in recent years with constant efforts for decades, there's still a long way to go to bring the balance back in the STEM workforce for all areas.
Along with the rapid economic growth, there are lots of job opportunities open for female employees. Women with STEM background and qualifications are in high demand at the moment and even more in the 5G era, from traditional industries to the newly established ones, such as Infrastructure, Transportation, Manufacturing, Health Care, Robotics, IoT, Space Exploration, Clean Energy, and many more.
On the other hand, gender-diverse teams usually make better decisions as women and men think differently, according to the speech given by Nora Denzel, a computer scientist with more than 20-year of working experience at three Fortune 500 enterprises. It makes incredibly huge different to have the same number of female employees in a team. Women provide ideas from a woman perspective for the same topics, product designs, issues, and solutions that men could miss and ignore.
Microsoft and Google are not alone to strive to break the gender barrier. Acer has joined the force with its Make Your Mark Campaign, aiming to empower more young girls to pursue a STEM degree and STEM career and inspire more of them to influence the next generation.
It's not difficult to see that women are in high demand to join the STEM workforce to bring their values and points of view to make the team more diverse, giving new and fresh concepts from a female's angle to make the products and designs more practical that might cover the needs and requirements for different types of customers and users.
STEM workforce requires a solid educational background and qualifications in STEM. One can hardly manage professional or technical issues without STEM fundamental and knowledge. In that case, a STEM degree or certificate is one of the criteria and requirements for applying for a STEM-related position.
Surprisingly, nearly over 50% of the high school graduates will lose their interest in STEM classes, according to the U.S. Education Department, even though they show high interest in the first place, not to speak of girls.
It has become essential to find solutions to shatter this typical stereotype and inequality.
And that's one of the reasons we encourage our parents to inspire our boys, as well as our girls, with various STEM-related toys at an early age, such as construction building blocks, magnetic building tiles, magnetic construction tiles, and any inspiring toys. It's the golden age to raise our kids' awareness and curiosity, ignite a spark, cultivate interest, develop cognitive ability and capability, enhance critical thinking process, shape the mindset, and build their confidence with creativity in STEM through a dynamic and immersive learning environment.
Whether our boys and girls are going to pursue a STEM degree or career in the future, it should be the initial goals for them to gain these critical STEM skills, so that they will be ready to take the more challenging STEM curricula in junior and high school – the typical stage our girls quit their STEM classes, to adapt the rapid-changing world through their Adult Years.
And that's what our parents and everyone around them can do to support them in pursuing what our girls have in the minds and contribute to breaking the gender gap barrier in the workforce and eliminating gender inequality.
With this purpose in mind, we are dedicated to closing the gender gap in STEM education and career development together with the communities, organizations, STEM women, female entrepreneurs, and individuals in related.

]]>With this purpose in mind, today, we are going to talk about the diversity in STEM education and career, and what we should do to make STEM learning more diverse and dynamic.
It's understandable that parents have a preference when choosing a toy or gift for girls. It's necessary for girls to have a teddy bear or barbie doll. But when it comes to STEM-related learning purpose, parents should remove gender barriers to provide them with the same toys/gifts and learning environment as for the boys. The STEM toys are the best companions to the boys and girls, which will grow with them in parallel.
At Toddler's Stage, the STEM toys will arouse the girls' curiosity, spark up their interest by feeling the force and the "magic" around the toys – that's the Awareness Phase. It's also the fundamental stage to develop cognitive abilities and skills so that our girls can acquire the essential STEM skills for future STEM education. Some entry-level magnetic building tiles made from environmental-friendly materials to secure toy safety would be highly recommended.
At Pre-schooler's Stage, also defined as the Interest Phase, it plays a considerable role to bridge up the Awareness to the Desire Phase. It's the golden age to ignite their interest in STEM areas and leverage learning experience from Toddler through School Life. Our girls started to wonder why and make a lot of "why conversations" with people around them. Actually, that's good news because they are hoping to have new upgraded STEM toys driven by their curiosity, wonder, creativity, passion, and enthusiasm. In that case, upgraded and scalable STEM magnetic construction tiles couldn't be wrong!
As introduced, STEM is an integration subject involving Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Therefore, at Middle Childhood (the Desire) Stage, in addition to "growing their companion" – the toy, STEM construction building blocks along with magnetic construction tiles are going to create a more diverse, immersive, and dynamic STEM- and project-based learning environment for our girls.
The critical STEM skills cultivation and development at each of the 3 influential stages require pretty much the same work and practice from girls as boys. Usually, girls are more sensitive to parents' behaviors and emotions, so it's wise for parents to encourage and empower them to unleash their potential in this highly demanding area in 5G era.
Although many believe that parents are the first and the best teachers to our children, our boys and girls will spend more time with teachers and classmates at school at the Middle Childhood stage. STEM involvement with their peers will gradually develop and enhance one of the four critical 21st-century skills – communication and collaborative skill.
It creates more opportunities for our girls to present their work, their creation, their points of views, communicate with male and female companions, and voice out their attitude through their work, and all these reflect how they see the world. It gives our girls more confidence and drives them to get more involved with STEM and things around that. It "simulates" a STEM environment that our schoolgirls will find the familiarity and similarity at their real working STEM environment in the future.
Sooner or later, it will become more and more common for girls and women to pursue and cultivate their career in STEM-related industries.
"Women belong in all places where decisions are being made." Still, women are facing challenges in STEM fields from education to career development for all kinds of stereotyping factors. It's high time that our parents, teachers, and everyone around should empower and inspire girls and women to pursue a degree or career in STEM areas.
]]>However, it's the fact that most of the parents are striving to take care of their kids while chasing their career. As we introduced earlier, inspiring gifts for Toddlers and Pre-schoolers, such as scalable toys, will spark their curiosity and interest and cultivate their creativity in STEM areas from Toddler through School Life.
Today, we are going to talk about the influences of gifting for the Desire (Third) Stage - Middle Childhood, from a macro perspective.
In general, Toddlers and Pre-schoolers have started to wonder "why" from their instinct developed through the first two Awareness and Interest Stages. For sure, Middle Childhood would be eager to explore "how to" based on everything they see, hear, and experience in their daily life, if they have sparked up their curiosity and interest through Toddler and Pre-schooler Years.
Let's admit the fact that, sometimes, we even got lost in the "why" conversations commonly because:
The acronym, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), the Philosophy of subject integration, for sure is longer new to you if you have followed our channel. Let's give it a brief definition for a better understanding:
In recent years, another relevant term, STEAM, has caught more of attention from people due to the highly demanding professionals in related industries and areas. So, what's in the "A" of STEAM?
The addition of the "A" here stands for "Art" covering all areas, such as Drawing, Coloring, Painting, Designing, Modeling, Architecture, Music, and many more.
It's obvious to see that creativity is needed everywhere in addition to the STEM areas.
Critical Thinking refers to a process of objective analysis and evaluation of an issue to form a judgment, including Curiosity, Creativity, Identification, Critical Analysis, Independent Thinking, Optimization, Initiative, Teamwork, Problem Solving, Research (Digital Literacy), and so on.
It's a skillset and ability enabling kids to make logical plans and rational decisions to the best outcome. It's a scientific thinking process that can only be shaped with constant proper learning and practice through actual cases. For this reason, it's vital to create a comparative immersive and dynamic learning environment to "train" them through scalable STEM toys, such as puzzles, construction building blocks, wooden blocks, and magnetic shapes building tiles.
Kids are always eager to tell parents and people around them what they like and what they have done from small things to their toys and gifts. They like companions. It's not their fault not feeling comfortable staying alone for too long. It's their instinct to stay with parents and companions. As a parent, it's our responsibilities to guide them a way of "how to" communicate with family, friends, and companions.
However, parents won't be able to always be there for them to communicate with people they will meet through their Child to Teen Years and Adult Year. Communication is indeed a necessary skill everyone should acquire through life.
At the Toddler and Pre-schooler Stages, kids need a little guidance from parents, which will drive them to communicate. Sometimes, collaboration happens when it comes to something they can't handle alone.
At the Middle Childhood Stage, despite the fact that kids already have a better understanding of the purpose on the toys (gifts) parents bought for them, a scalable toy is the best companion for a child as we talked about in our previous articles. On the other hand, it creates an immersive learning environment that provides a teamworking practical case with their real living companions.
As two of the critical 21st-century skillsets, communication and collaboration skills are widely encouraged to acquire for kids worldwide. Most importantly, STEM education includes project-based learning. It takes a few weeks for kids and their "teams" to complete a "project" that they have in their mind:
Although we cannot only rely on gifts (scalable toys) taking care of our kids for all aspects of life, it's convincing to say that gifting has made a positive impact on driving our kids a higher motivation to learn and explore, cultivate creativity in something they believe in, and improve the current situation that they are not satisfied with. That's one of the reasons parents and everyone around them should guide them through the golden Child Years from a macro global perspective and humanity initiative.

]]>There are a few things you should know before choosing a gift for Pre-schoolers in 2021:
Like Toddlers, Pre-schoolers are excited to open their gift boxes, whereas they start to know what gifts they expect to receive rather than accept what is given by parents. Gifting has become a bit more challenging to parents whatever they are planning to gift.
To totally cultivate their interest at the golden age – Pre-schooler Years, we are going to briefly review the key points. As introduced, Pre-schooler is the bridge to build up their interest in STEM and leverage their learning experience from Toddler through School Life. It's going to be more challenging for parents to come up with new parenting ideas as kids might have a few hundreds of "why" questions to ask you every day.
Most parents don't seem to have the proper answers to those raised by a kid born in the late 4G and early 5G era. Therefore, as a parent, learning with kids have become vital to influence kids learning more and more through STEM gifts, and unleash their potential in STEM curricula. The best way to do so is to grow with them together along with the scalable STEM toys or any inspiring things.
"Why" conversations - that's a sign of being "curious" as a Pre-schooler child. Being able to answer your kids' questions creates trust between you and them. Little by little, they will have a lot of "data" in the head – this will enhance the foundation of "Awareness" phase, enabling them to be creative and acquire the ability to solve their specific needs with their creativity.
Your kids have given you a clear signal that they are hoping to have their toys upgraded. Kids are desperate to explore the unknown world driven by curiosity, wonder, creativity, passion, and enthusiasm. They are eager to show you the "creation" they have made. They can't wait to communicate with you or their real companions how creative they can be, and that's how they will acquire the communication skills.
One no brainer all parents can do is keep encouraging them to create more and more by showing them that you are proud of them. And of course, you should be willing to give them a positive "guide" that their parents are learning and creating something new every day as well.
Now, it is high time that you should learn to "be creative" and scale up the difficulties and interest in the STEM toys. Meanwhile, gifting plays a significant role in parenting kids, so it's wise to make the whole process more valuable to them. Still, creativity is the key for Pre-schoolers to get fully ready to acquire 21st-century skills - 4 critical STEM skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity).
Here's a list of innovative gifting ideas for shaping Pre-schoolers' creativity skillsets:
However, technology is no longer a subject to an individual country but to the whole world, related to every nation, every family, and everyone.
Since the world is changing rapidly every day, it has become urgent to educate our kids to grow and learn from a global perspective. From that perspective, parents have the responsibilities to adapt to the need of STEM training with a global macro mindset.
Starting with gifting, it will show how much you care about their growth in a world where everyone has a strong urge to learn and make our life easier with technology.
Gradually, they are going to surprise you again with creativity as well as thoughtfulness.
It's just a matter of time for them to progressively gain the 4 critical STEM skills (Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity) through STEM education.
5G is all about Business and Social Responsibilities.
Thanks to technology advancement, 5G and the Robotics industry will make a great impact on Mining Industry, Health Cares, and more, for instance:
Nevertheless, humans must find the most effective ways to maintain robotics under control properly. They follow the orders by codes, while human beings are the ones who have the accesses to press the "pause button" in terms of "good" or "bad" intention.
No matter how advanced we are, the ultimate goal of technology is to eliminate Poverty, Gender Inequality, Hunger, and more and create a better experience for everyone.
That's to say, being knowledgeable and professional in STEM areas is not sufficient to adapt to the fast-changing digital era and reach the mutual goals for the humankind society. It's optimistic to say that gifting has a great influential impact on shaping kids' global mindset at the golden stage – Pre-schooler Years (3-5 years old).

]]>The trend and the whole environment have been pushing us to upgrade our professional skills, interpersonal skills, collaborative capability, as well as creativity. Young professionals intend to work in the Hi-Tech industry, and more and more countries have put more efforts in technology, science, and sustainability education. In China, e-payment works everywhere, from big shopping malls to small restaurants and convenience stores, even street snacks stalls. It is not exaggerating to say that technology has been around in our life.
Given the importance of STEM education for the young generation earlier, we are going to talk about why and how to choose the right scalable toys for school-aged kids.
Having defined the 3 major growing stages in sequence to the psychology of our children, it's convincing to say that every single stage matters, and each step connects with another.
At the Toddlers' stage, awareness is the process of realization. Toys are Toddler's best companions through the journey from Toddler to Middle Childhood and Teen to Career years. The purpose of toys is to build the awareness of physics skills and realization of its elements and sparkle up the awareness of creativity and interest for the next stage.
Similarly, preparing Pre-schooler for Middle Childhood years is as important as from Toddler to Pre-schooler years. In fact, Pre-schooler is the bridge from Toddler through School life to build up their interest in STEM education. It is the critical period that all parents should not miss.
Scaling up toys means giving a new life to the toys. In some respects, the new toy would be their brand-new companion that they are also familiar with, which somehow helps to engage with the kids more. The remarkable thing, in terms of kids’ development and education, is that scalable STEM toys play a significant role to create an immersive learning and entertaining environment for kids.
A scalable STEM toy - one of the must-have toys in every family, is their companion that would really grow in parallel and is indeed one of the greatest inventions ever.
In the digital era, kids are all digital natives. Electronics have taken the place of most of the toys. General toys cannot meet their demands and arouse their interest any longer. Those who know how to use toys to draw their kids' attention back and use the resource to "scale up" the toys for them are indeed the winners.
Same as for Toddler and Pre-schooler, understanding and defining the goals of the Desire Phase is always the first step and would be much more difficult for Middle Childhood as it somehow would be affected by the education at the early 2 phases, especially when it comes to choosing the right toys for different kids.
After the Pre-schooler years, kids should have acquired the necessary essential skills and been ready to pick up new skills of the next level, if parents have put enough attention to their kids' development with the right scalable STEM toys.
Accordingly, it is time for early school-aged children to pick up the higher level of the core STEM skills through their scalable STEM toys or any similar toys, as follows:
Let's accept the fact that approximately more than 50% of the high school graduates will lose their interest in STEM curricula, even though they are very interested in them at first. Now it's time to grab back our kids' attention and desire in STEM before middle school, as the curricula will be more and more difficult for them to understand, and that's one of the reasons they will start to lose their interest day by day.
In that case, STEM toys now play a more important role than ever to school-aged kids' middle school life's preparation, even though the world has made tremendous improvement in STEM education with a lot more efforts and supports by the governments, schools, and teachers.
What's more remarkable, along with the STEM toys, parents only need to repurpose the toys, like giving them some simple guides, and encourage them more, showing being proud of them, and telling them that they like their work and creation.
Most importantly, curiosity and interest lead to the desire of trying, thinking, and building. Desire and creativity drive innovation and invention.
Besides repurposing STEM toys as we talked about it earlier, there's one more thing that parents can do, such as story-telling about well-known great people in STEM areas, to strengthen these skills, encouraging them to create random things with imagination and creativity.
Now, having lived these 3 influential stages of kids' life while utilizing the right toys to grow awareness, interest, and desire to learn and advance their careers up and higher, the kids are well-positioned to enter Teen years with passion and desire to explore more in the area of technology and STEM. They are ready to go the extra mile to innovate while continuing their middle school education and beyond.
Again, every single step matters, and each step connects with another. If you missed the Awareness and Interest Phase, it is high time that you should take some concrete actions before it is too late.

]]>If you're struggle of looking for the right gift, a few tips summarized below would give you some inspiration on gift shopping.
In general, the intention to send a gift is to give them an unforgettable memory for Birthday, Christmas, encouragement for some achievements in study or life, or any special occasions, especially for kids and teens. 'Actions speak louder than talks,' from the perspective of modern education, it's encouraging to gift them something meaningful rather than educate them with the talk and theories that might sound boring and "nonsense" to them.
When it comes to a "gift", somehow it becomes more memorable and valuable to them than ever. Kids usually would spend days and nights playing toys, reading books, or anything, with happiness, joys, and passion. In that case, gifting has become more and more important to our kids during their childhood. Meanwhile, parents are willing to spend more money and time choosing the right gifts to reach their ultimate goals.
Earlier, we laid the foundation of the importance of inspiring kids' creativity, the goals of each age levels, to maximize the outcomes of their growing age towards an outstanding career journey. Most importantly, it's convincing to say the Toddler stage is the foundation, and Pre-school is the bridge to Middle Childhood.
For Toddlers, kids also have various needs and demands from parents for different purposes. To make this process easier, here is the highlighted 2021 must-pick gifts list that you would not want to miss in the Industry 4.0 era.
Having noticed the decreasing average birthrate around the globe, we started to understand it is critical to innovate the education system that would be the only way to help our young generation to catch up with the fast-changing technology and trend. Let's admit the fact that you might not be able to always be present with the kids, but you don't want to miss the most precious time to educate and company them, so you sort of expecting the "gift" play a meaningful role to bring more value to your kids. As said, toys are the best companions for Toddlers, especially the scalable one that can really grow with them in parallel.
Dating back to 5 years, we were amazed by 4G for the convenience it brought to us. However, 5G is being developed much faster than most of us could even notice. One thing we need to understand is that this is not only related to the young generation and the next but also young and senior professionals. We should be aware of these changes before it's too late to catch up with the development and applications of technology. Now, we will have to put our children on the table to find the most scientific and practical way to educate them during their golden ages. Let's start by saying that the critical 4C Skills (Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity) are the 21st-century skills.
Despite the fact that it has been a controversial subject, the experimental school Astra Nova founded by Elon Musk aims to educate students to focus on complex projects and problem-solving.
In recent years, more and more innovation camps specialized in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education have been founded worldwide, in which mainly focus on Problem-Solving and apply to solve real-world challenges grounded in STEM areas, is sufficient to show that STEM education is the trend and the right way to go.
It is clear that technology advancement is accelerating innovation. No one should be left behind, from kids to adults, from those who live in villages to cities. It is time now to be engaged. We are encouraged to spend time thinking and picking suitable gifts which would influence a lifelong career of young men and women. Some innovative gift ideas listed below for Toddlers might give you some inspiration:
1. STEM Construction Building Blocks
2. Wooden Blocks
3. Magnetic Shapes Building Tiles
4. Puzzles
If you don't have one of these types' toys at home, why not give it a try rather than always "traditional" toys, like teddy bears and dolls.
Generally speaking, the purpose of technology is to create a better experience for everyone. Unfortunately, we have been suffering a lot from the unforeseen pandemic mostly due to its high contagiousness. Although we have been talking about sustainability, there's still a long way to go. It's sad to see that there are still lots of people in poverty, dying from hunger, suffering from poor health and medical care. Today, we are going to bringthe 17 United Nations SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) on the table again.
In addition to educating our precious kids the knowledge, creativity, inspiration, and confidence, humanity is something we should not miss. The definition of success should not be evaluated by wealth only, but also by the contribution to our society. We need more young professionals with high skills and qualifications, as well as humanity, in STEM areas to really take concrete actions to improve our experience, solve the problems, and reach the mutual 17 goals.
Along with the innovative gifts, parents and everyone around them should seize every chance to empower our kids more to unleash their potential through innovative education.
